Reflexology

Reflexology

Reflexology is the” study of the reflexes”  It is a natural, non-invasive healing art derived from the study based on the principle that there are reflexes in the body that map to other parts, glands, and organs of the body.

Through the application of pressure on these reflexes using specific hand and finger techniques, reflexology therapy helps promote the natural functioning and healing of the body. It may also help with

  • general relaxation
  •  improve blood circulation
  •  tension
  •  pain
  • increased joint mobility
  • strength
  • insomnia (sleep)
  • digestion
  • anxiety
  • stress
  • headaches
  • sciatic nerve pain
  • mental clarity
  • arthritis
  • overall wellness

Essentially, Reflexology helps to balance the physical, mental and emotional aspects of your whole body. If an organ or gland is overactive or underactive, reflexology can help return it to a normal level. This gentle therapy encourages the body to heal itself at its own pace, often counteracting a lifetime of misuse. Reflexology does not diagnose or prescribe. The whole body is treated rather than a specific condition.

Raindrop Aroma Massage

Raindrop Aroma Massage

Combining the science of essential oils with the techniques of reflexology, massage, Raindrop involves the application of nine essential oils that are applied to reflex areas on the feet. The same oils are then applied in small rain-like drops on the back, about six inches above of the body.  They are applied with a variety of light feathering strokes,  gentle massage techniques. and heat application. The technique is designed to and may bring structural and electrical alignment. Reiki

Reiki

Reiki ( pronounced Ray-Key) “rei” meaning spirit/universal and “ki” meaning life force energy

The system of Reiki healing uses the inherent natural universal energy within all of us to bring us into balance.

It is a Japanese holistic technique , light-touch, energy-based modality. Working as a support mechanism to the body, Reiki re-establishes a normal energy flow of ki (life force energy) throughout the system, which in turn can enhance and accelerate the body’s innate healing ability.  Through a series of hand positions either directly on or just above the body, the energy worker allows for the flow of energy through their body. The client’s body then draws in the amount of energy that is required.

Non-Physical healing of life force energy with an intelligence of its own, flowing where it is needed in the client and creating the healing conditions necessary for the individual’s needs. It cannot be guided by the mind, therefore it is not limited by the experience or ability of the practitioner, neither can it be misused as it always creates a healing effect.

Reiki helps alleviate many physical and emotional issues, it supports the body’s natural balancing process. It increases the relaxation response so that the body can heal itself. Reiki energy works in concert with all other forms of therapy. It is a wonderful complement to other treatments. We can all work together to get you feeling healthier, happier and more whole. This is a holistic approach.

The Reiki energy flows exactly where it is needed. A Reiki Practitioner never needs to diagnose or prescribe.
